My Pavilion dv6t-6b00 was booted with the "SMART Hard Disk Error - Hard Disk 1 (301)" after 8+ year usage. Basically it's a message indicating the fatal flaw of hard drive, and there is nothing I can do about it. The data in the hard disk has been backed up, and I plan to replace with a compatible hard disk. The laptop came with Windows 7 Home and was updated to Windows 10 Home later. So my question is how I can get the Windows 10 Home installation files from HP for my new disk? Thank you in advance for suggestions you could provide.

Probably you upgraded your machine to Windows 10 therefore you need to use the following way
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
(Note: you can save as ISO or create Windows 10 installation media).
During the installation process if you are asked to enter a product key, check the 'Skip' box and W10 will install and then automatically activate once you are connected to the internet using the key embedded in BIOS of your machine.
Then you can install the drivers and available software you need from your PC's support page. Normally few Windows 10 updates can install nearly all drivers for you
Regards.
