Product: Compaq CQ58-160SL

Hello everyone, 

Do you know where I can find the installation files to reinstall the operative system on a Presario CQ58-160SL?

In origin it was installed Windows 7 Home Prem OA, now it needs to be formatted.

Is there a site where I can downlaod windows to reinstall it?

Most likely ... NOT.

 

As far as I know, HP has stopped stocking Win7 Recovery Media, so it's unlikely you can get it from HP and even then, you would have to purchase a set of disks, as HP does not make that available for download.

 

You can't get the ISO file from MS because they want a Retail product key and your PC came with an OEM product key -- and their download tool will not accept that.

 

There used to be third-party site that provided links to Win7 OEM ISOs but from what I saw, that last one shut down in August of this year.

 

That said, others in the Community might have some file links that would work.
