I just replaced the failed hard disk on my Pavilion dm4 and want to reinstall the Windows 7 that came with it. The Microsoft Windows 7 download page does not recognize the Windows Product Key on my laptop. Can HP provide me with a workable product key so that I can download the Windows 7 ISO and install it? (Is there any other way I can reinstall Windows 7 on the computer?)

Hi:
HP never offered OEM W7 ISO files for download, and the only way the Microsoft site lets you download an ISO file is if you have a W7 retail product key, and your notebook's product key is OEM, which is why the product key you entered doesn't work.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to download the W7 Home Premium 64 bit ISO file from the link below (toward the bottom of the page).
Windows 7 Home Premium Free Download ISO 32 Bit 64 Bit (getintopc.com)
You can use the Microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below that you will need to transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so that it is bootable, or you can use a different free utility such as Rufus.
