I have an old HP Laptop that I got out of the garage today to try and bring it back to life. I did a factory reset on it a few years ago, but apparently it did not work properly.
When I turned on the HP laptop today, it would get stuck on the back screen and kept giving me the following error message:
Install Windows:
The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.
Every time I click ok, it would restart the computer and give me the same message. So, I went into the system recovery by pressing F11 and tried doing a systems reboot and recovery, but then it would say that since there are no administrator profiles on the PC that I could not do anything, nor get into the command prompt to try and activate admin privileges that way.
I then tried to download a Windows 10 Disk Image ISO from my mac computer onto a flash drive, but since the file has items that are larger than 4GB, I cannot transfer that much volume onto the USB disk that I would be using for the PC reboot (error message 1309 - https://iboysoft.com/wiki/error-code-1309.html#:~:text=Error%20code%201309%20happens%20when,Error%20...)
I am stuck, and do not know how to move forward to get my laptop working again. Please help.
Thank you.

Hi:
You will have to find a friend or relative that has a Windows PC running Windows 7 64 bit or newer and use the media creation tool to create the W10 USB installation media, since apparently you can't format the USB flash drive with the NTFS file system on a Mac PC.
