I recently got help from Hp through there online chat. I want to remove the applet I authorized for there remote desktop service. Just the software that allowed them to control my desktop. I want to keep the HP support assistant and utility center. Thanks.

Hello,
Thank you for posting in the HP Support forum.
While I am not sure what software the HP support agent used, I suppose it could be HP Virtual rooms or HP Virtual support rooms.
In both cases, please go to Control Panel -> Add or remove programs (for Win XP) or Control Panel -> Programs and features (Windows Vista/7/8/8/1) .
In the list of programs, find the program and uninstall it.
Don't be afraid of unauthorized access to your computer. If such thing happens, you will be notified by the program (if these programs were used). HP Virtual rooms or HP Virtual support rooms are legitimate software just like Team Viewer, LogMeIn and others and they inform the user somehow that the machine is in use by other party.
If this is not the case and other software was used, please provide more information.
Please, let me know if I can help you further and don't hesitate to ask for assistance if you face issues.
