Hi,
I am a tech for a school board and recently had a chrombooks mainboard replaced due to some issues when chrombook was returned and i went to re-enroll the device i keep on geting the error "Oops! The system failed to determine device identifiers for this device." from my reasearch it seems the tech who was re imaging the chromebook might have forgoten to change serial number or model number on os but im not sure. would there be any fixes for this that i could iplement or if i would have to send it back again?
Thank You,
Brandon

Hello Brandon,
Sorry to hear about your issue .
Yes you are correct !
After replacing the System board the Serial number information has be tatooed to the new board again. This is done with unique UTILITY only HP Certified Engineers have.
In your case the tatooing is not been done as expected. So please follow the same procedure you did to send the unit in for repair and resend it.
Hope this helps, for any further queries reply to the post and feel free to join us again
