First, I made sure that I used a 32GB drive, then I even tried a 64GB drive

Hi @admin_detan,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I Understand your concern about the errors while trying to create a recovery USB for your HP Pavilion Gaming laptop , don’t worry let me help you with this.

To better understand the issue, could you please provide a few more details?

  • At what point in the Recovery Tool process the failure occurs (e.g., during formatting, file copy, or verification)?
  • Any specific error codes or messages you see on screen (since you mentioned you can’t attach the log file)?
  • Whether you’ve tried running the tool more than once after restarting your system?

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try in the meantime:

  • Run HP Recovery Manager as Administrator: Right-click the tool and select Run as administrator.
  • Check USB formatting: Make sure the USB drive is empty and formatted to FAT32 before starting.
  • Disable security software temporarily: Antivirus or firewall settings can sometimes interfere with the recovery creation process.
  • Update BIOS and drivers: Outdated system firmware or drivers may cause conflicts. You can check for updates via HP Support Assistant.
  • Try a different USB port: Preferably use a port directly on the laptop rather than through a hub.
  • Ensure Windows updates are installed: Pending updates can sometimes block system utilities from working correctly.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
