HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg1000 (43F52AV)
Dear all,

I’m reaching out in hopes that you can help me resolve a serious issue with my HP laptop, which I’ve been using for just over a year.

Recently, the laptop suddenly failed to start. I attempted to boot it using a recovery USB, but was prompted to enter a BitLocker recovery key associated with a specific ID. I logged into my Microsoft account and located the device, but the ID shown there does not match the one requested during startup. As expected, the recovery key I found did not work.

Someone suggested that when I booted using the recovery disk, the system may have automatically generated a new BitLocker key. However, I have no idea where that key might be stored or how to retrieve it. Note that I have never turned on the BitLocker key. That is really a big bug of Microsoft!

My main goal is to recover the data stored on the hard drive. I understand that I could reset the computer to restore functionality, but I’m hoping to avoid that until I can retrieve my files. If there is any method—whether through key recovery, bypass, or data extraction—that could help me access the encrypted drive, I would be extremely grateful.

Thank you very much for your time and support.
