Request for BIOS update with corrected AMD fTPM firmware – Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1xxx (AMD TPM 3.92.0

Hello,

I am requesting a BIOS update that includes the corrected AMD fTPM firmware for my laptop, to resolve the AMD TPM attestation issue described in AMD bulletin PA-420.

System details:
- Model: HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec1022nm (15-ec1xxx series)
- Product number: 1U6D2EA#BED
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H
- OS: Windows 10 Home (64-bit), Build 19045
- Current BIOS: AMI F.35, 12/16/2024 (latest available on the HP support page)
- TPM Manufacturer: AMD
- TPM Manufacturer Version: 3.92.0.5
- TPM Specification Version: 2.0

The problem:
My TPM Manufacturer Version is 3.92.0.5. According to AMD (PA-420) and Activision's official guidance, any AMD fTPM version in the 3.*.0.* range is affected by a TPM attestation bug and requires a firmware update. The corrected version should be 3.92.5.5 (i.e. ≥ 3.x.2.x). Because of this, TPM attestation fails and Call of Duty / Warzone reports "BIOS firmware: Update Required – Failed Attestation Status," which reduces matchmaking quality and available playlists.

What I have already done:
- Installed the latest BIOS available for my model (F.35, 12/2024).
- Confirmed TPM 2.0 is enabled and "ready for use" in tpm.msc.
- Secure Boot: On. BIOS Mode: UEFI.
- Enabled Virtualization-based security (Memory Integrity) – now shows "Running" in msinfo32.

Despite all of this, the TPM firmware version is still 3.92.0.5, because BIOS F.35 does not include the corrected fTPM firmware.

What I need:
AMD states it provided the corrected TPM firmware to motherboard manufacturers back in 2022, but some manufacturers did not redistribute it. The fTPM firmware can only be updated through an HP BIOS update – end users cannot flash it themselves.

Could HP please release a BIOS update for the Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1xxx series that includes the corrected AMD fTPM firmware (version 3.x.2.x or higher / 3.92.5.5), so that TPM attestation passes?

I understand the situation, right now the only permanent fix will come from a future BIOS update that HP is already working on. In the meantime, you can try the following workaround steps that have helped other users stabilize TPM and Secure Boot attestation:

Disable TPM

Boot → press F10 → set TPM state to disabled → clear TPM: yes → F10 to save → shut down → power on.

Enable Secure Boot

Boot → press F10 → apply Load HP Factory Default Keys → set Secure Boot to Enabled → F10 to save → shut down → power on.

Re‑enable TPM

Boot → press F10 → set TPM state to Enabled → Clear TPM: No → F10 to save → shut down → power on.

Verify in Windows

Run msinfo32 → check Secure Boot State: ON.

This sequence temporarily disables TPM, enrolls platform keys with Secure Boot, and then re‑enables TPM. A restart is required between each step.
