Hello,

I have a problem with my laptop because the network driver for WiFi is not installed.

I am trying to complete the Windows 11 installation, but I cannot proceed without internet access and I do not have the option to skip that step. The laptop also does not have an Ethernet port.

The only option I have is to install the network driver using a .inf file, because Windows does not recognize the .exe extension during the installation process.

The laptop model/serial number is 5CD5452WBF.

Could you please help me by sending me this driver file or link.

It is really strange that a new HP laptop does not already have this driver installed.

Thank you in advance.

BR,
Milica

Hi, Milica:

According to the parts list for your notebook, it comes with a RTL8852BE-VT Wi-Fi adapter.

HP PartSurfer

If W11 is asking for a Wi-Fi driver so it can continue to install, do this:

Using another PC, download and save the latest Wi-Fi adapter driver HP has for that model Wi-Fi adapter from the link below:

sp168341.exe

After you download the driver, install the free 7-zip file utility from the link below so you can extract the driver exe file into a driver folder.

The first file listed at the top of the page is for 64 bit.

7-Zip

After you install 7-Zip, right click on the wifi driver you saved.

Select 7-Zip from the list of options on the menu.  If you are using another W11 PC, select 'More options' to get to where 7-Zip is listed.

Have 7-Zip Extract to: and let it extract the driver file into its folder name.

After that is done, copy the driver folder to a USB flash drive and plug it into your notebook's USB port.

When you get to the screen that asks for the Wi-Fi driver, browse to the sp168341 folder>src>Drivers>RTWLANE_Driver>WIN10X64>netrtwlane63.inf and the driver should install.
