Hello
I recently bought a retired and dead HP 840 G1 laptop (purchased as parts or not working, no RAM and SSD/HDD). I repaired the MB and I would like the Virtual part to work and when I try to enter the BIOS to be able to activate the virtual functions it asks me for the password, but I do not know the BIOS password. I couldn't find any record of this product based on serial number or UUID.
I found threads where Elitebooks have serious password protection, but HP can reset it. Is there any chance to get help from HP in this case or do I have to replace the BIOS chip?
