Example: Pavilion 15

I bought a display laptop at walmart, I guess I didn't realize I would have issues with resetting it. I've made it to the troubleshooting and am stuck at an administrator password. Any help would be appreciated, I'm not very tech savvy. Thanks.

Hi:

 

You will have to get assistance with the password from Wal-Mart, since they put passwords on the display models.

 

You may be able to factory reset the PC by making a bootable recovery drive using another Windows PC and a 32 GB USB flash drive using the HP cloud recovery tool.

 

Since you boot from the media, you should not need to enter any passwords.
