Hi @Emmanuelkattoug,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Pavilion laptop is consistently giving you a warning to restart every time you boot it up, there could be several potential issues causing this behavior. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Check for Updates: Make sure your operating system (Windows, presumably) and all your drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated software or drivers can cause such issues.
  • Scan for Malware: Malware infections can cause strange behavior on your computer, including prompting you to restart. Run a full system scan using a reliable antivirus program to rule out any malware issues.
  • Hardware Issues: Check if there are any hardware issues by running diagnostics on your laptop. Most HP laptops come with built-in diagnostics tools that can help identify hardware problems.
  • Check Event Viewer: Windows Event Viewer can provide valuable insights into what might be causing the warning message. Look for any error or warning messages that coincide with the time you start your laptop.
  • Startup Programs: It's possible that a specific program or service is causing the warning message. Try disabling unnecessary startup programs and services using the Task Manager to see if the issue persists.
  • BIOS Update: Sometimes, a BIOS update can resolve issues related to system startup. Check HP's support website for any available BIOS updates for your laptop model and follow the instructions to install them.
  • System Restore: If the issue started recently and you're not sure what caused it, you can try using System Restore to revert your system to a previous state where the problem didn't exist.
  • Factory Reset: As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your laptop. This will revert it back to its original state, removing any software issues that might be causing the warning message. Make sure to back up your important files before doing this, as it will erase everything on your laptop.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
