Restoration Image system windows

Hello,   I was robbed of my HP Pavilion 15-AU023CL laptop and my computer tools, I made a backup of the image system with the help of windows backup. I would like to restore this image to another HP machine, for example HP Pavilion15-cs0053CL. I would like to know if this operation could work? My goal here is to restore all my programs and data backups when creating this image. Thanks a lot for your help.   Yves

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

The system recovery image will not have your personal files or data,
And. also it's not possible to transfer or install the recovery image created for the"HP Pavilion 15-AU023CL" on another computer.

Thanks @Echo_Lake, please confirm if I can do the system restoration if I buy the same HP Pavilion 15-AU023CL laptop. I had not done the backup with HP tools but with windows backup, and something else I think I'll recover all personal data and programs that was installed and backed by this day, because when I attach the VHD discs where is located on the windows backup files, I see all the partitions and personal data. My wish is to recover this backup with all programs and configurations, personal data and files. I hope you understand my wish.

@PEMHA I understand your wish, however, I'm afraid as the last tech mentioned, you cannot restore the image of one computer to another even if its the same model and the encryption is based on the serial number and that's unique on every device, I hope you understand,

That said, HP always recommends to create an online storage backup or to make use of external storage, however, when it comes to copy encrypted information you will need the same computer for it to work.
