HP Iaptop 15 BS131nr - I have just replaced the factory failed 1 TB HD with a NEW 1 GB SSD ; Initiated recovery to Factory Setting and permitted deletion of all files , I am getting "incomplete restoration " message after running the recovery function (I used my recovery media .
I repeated the process three times using my recovery media.
-The new SSD made by Timetec - 1 TB SSD 3D NAND .

Did you use the HP cloud recovery tool to create the recovery media for your notebook?
If not, give that a try.

You can download the tool from the Micrsoft Store.

Since you have to use the tool on another PC, you will need to enter your PC's product number in the tool's search window, which is 2UE59UA#ABA.
I this is what you did, see if this works...set the PC's date to the 'Born on' date in the BIOS.
There have been reports that some 30-day trial software licenses cause recovery failures because the license has expired.
If that doesn't work, you can always clean install W10 by making a bootable W10 installation flash drive with the Media creation tool from the link below.

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
