Hello,
I recently got this computer but am not knowledgeable with them. It went into a restoration incomplete phase. I already went into diagnostic testing under F2 (from a helpful thread on here) and it would not run the extensive test. It failed on the battery test with the code 94N31S-8SB9KD-GXGGRA-C08U03. Is this as simple as taking it to a repair shop and replacing the battery? Is that something I could do myself?

With regards to the battery, yes, it may be possible for you to replace the battery but it may take some extra efforts. If you are willing to try, please read these articles:

Restoration incomplete error is not caused due to the battery issue. This is software issue most likely. Your built-in recovery partition may have gone corrupted. Also, this type of recovery you are trying to use is kind of obsolete nowadays .
- The solution is to perform fresh clean installation of Windows. Please, refer to the attached instructions PDF file - below.
