Can anyone tell me if the restore drive you can make on a memory drive the same thing that HP sells for 40.00 ? or are they different?

I don't know what you trying to do but they are not the SAME.

 

  • The one HP sells for 40.00 will bring your machine back to Factory Setting status, back to the time you opened the box and it will re-create Recovery Drive,
  • The one called restore drive you can make on a memory drive will bring your machine back to Factory Setting status, back to the time you opened the box only.
