Mini-Laptop 110-3850la
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I migrated to Windows 10 on my Mini-Laptop 110-3850la, without creating a restore point, and (I am asusming) the computer came without a sticker with the Microsoft product key. How can I restore the system back to its factory settings?

Unfortunately, when you Upgraded your PC to Win10, that corrupted the HP Recovery information so, after that, you could not do a reset and get Win10 back.

What might work is downloading it from this link:  https://softfamous.com/windows-7-starter/

Good Luck

WAWood,

Thank you for the suggestion. It worked, although I downloaded the file from a different website. The installation was pretty straightforward, and thankfully, I found the Windows 7 Starter original product key under the battery pack, so I was able to reactivate the software afterwards.

What was not so appealing was that I had to reinstall all of the drivers again, and had to go through multiple Windows Updates (one time, the system had downloaded 197 updates!)  They still haven't ended. Anyway, the system is up and running, and even though, it hasn't gone back to its original level of 'pristine' operation, at least it is not crashing all the time as it did with Windows 10. Thanks!

Have a good one!
