Hp stream 14
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought a hp stream 14 display model from Walmart and every time I try to reset it or add a program it ask for a retail admin password how can I fix this

Have you asked at Walmart about the password?

It may be a local Admin acct that you can reset using the steps here:

If you can't reset it using the guide in link above -you will need to contact HP to order Recovery Media.

Happy to hear you solved it. Not sure why you say "No thanks to HP". Walmart is the one who put a password on it that nobody knew.

Because when I called up and ask if there was anyway to get around it the woman told me yes she could help but it would cost me 45 dollars

You need to try a password reset tools like ntpassword, ophcrack, passfolk or wingeeker.

 

but whatever the tool you use,  becuase it should be uefi-based pc,  so you need to enter the BIOS to change some settings.
