hi. I bought an HP printer from Walmart on August 7. Since then, I have not been able to get it to stay connected to any of my devices even though my Internet speed is good. How can I return it to HP?

Welcome to the HP Community --

Internet speed is part of keeping a device connected to your network -- speed is only part of the whole.

HP does not generally accept returns of products purchased at the HP Store beyond the return date.

True -- you did not purchase the printer from the HP Store - a simple return does not apply.

Reminders

  • HP Support does not generally provide free service for out-of-warranty devices or problems not covered by Warranty.
  • Our HP Community is not HP Support; we do offer online help free of charge.

Try / Consider

Try to solve the underlying problem that is preventing the printer from staying connected --

Open your device HP Product Home

Select Category Troubleshooting to find help for common issues.

Look for a video that helps you solve your problem(s).

Scroll down (in this message) to section Message Content References

Still want to contact HP Support?

HP Support might make a determination to replace or repair hardware that is in Warranty AND for a covered failure in that Warranty.

You first have to submit your request for Warranty repair -- HP will decide whether to accept the case and decide any actions as a result of the acceptance.

What else?

HP Support does NOT free post phone numbers or private chat lines on the Internet.

If you were speak with someone "other than HP Support" and, for example, you refuse to give them your credit card number, they might hang up on you.  Scammers do not waste time on unwilling victims.

In this case, you are better off for having not been scammed out of your money, identify, and privacy.

HP Services – Contact Information

Online Case Submission to HP Support is available to those whose devices registered and are still in Warranty.

Some (Most) regions display phone / chat contact information only after the case is submitted online.

Not every issue is covered under the standard Hardware Warranty.  Purchased Care Pack Warranties differ by contract.

HP is not a "general" repair facility: Requests for out-of-warranty repairs are usually not accepted.

If the problem is hardware, if your device is in Warranty, if your device is Registered, and you cannot submit your case to Support, let us know and we will forward a request.

Important

Never post private information in the HP Community!

Thieves are waiting - do not hand over your privacy to their keeping.

HP Support does not free-post phone numbers for HP Support on the Internet.

Your computer is not full of bugs and you do not need to pay a fee for driver support.

You do not need Firewall protection.

Never allow strangers access to your computer, tablet, or phone.

Pay attention to where you are going.

Do not wander around on the Internet looking for help –

When looking for help, start only at legitimate web sites for your product

Not your HP store?

Scroll to the bottom of the store website and click the Flag to change regions.

Do not be a victim.

Stay vigilant.
