I am facing backlight screen bleeding and several minor software issues after hp firmware 15.22.0.0 BIOS update. My motherboard was replaced last month because of a faulty RAM stick. And after that the system was working perfectly untill I decided to install one of the "optional updates" last week as I was facing some issue with the battery (it was draining on sleep mode).
After updating the firmware to 15.22:
- I am facing backlight screen bleeding from the edges while my laptop stays on sleep. The white edges go away after some time of opening the lid.
- Sometimes, it also get's heated too much and the fans blow at full speed.
- The stylus pen sometimes still writes when pen is lifted from the touchscreen display making the writing very messy.
I am sure that this BIOS update is the problem because I faced the same issue when I installed the same BIOS update a year ago before my motherboard was changed last month. Although, I did not raise a complaint the last time thinking it to be a hardware issue.
So, I want to roll back to the older version of BIOS.

no, I took a separate insurance with another company when I bought it. to cover damage before warranty period.. but im reluctant to use it because they not cover the total costs (i will have to pay something, way less, but something) and official HP centers in my city are non existent, I use this laptop in a daily basis.
Im not going to change the monitor since I think this is not a "hardware related problem" it's absolutely ridicoulous, plus the monitor costs 300eur + 1-2 Months waiting time.
The computer was working fine before the 7th... next day the other guy (and probably many others) are facing this problem since then.
