New 250G8 has two folders in root drive named Recovery and HP. I think these are to do with any recovery to factory settings.
Any reinstall will always be a clean download from Microsoft, never the HP option.
Basically can I delete these, or at least copy them to external drive.
Just want to keep things tidy,
Grateful for any advice.
Many thanks

Make a Recovery USB flash drive from the Recovery utility or the HP Cloud Recovery before you delete it. It is handy to have if things go wrong.
The contents of the HP folder have already been discussed in th thread at the following hyperlink.

For future reference:
When you go to the Cloud recovery web document to create the USB recovery drive, be sure and use 2V8H7UT#ABA instead of the one that you put in your initial post.
Product ID 2V8H7UT#ABA should be the one on your notebook's BIOS or in the MSINFO window.
