I regret buying HP elitebook like why is S3 mode is not supported, why my laptop temperature is so high in sleep mode when it's plugged in, like almost 100c , why is a business laptop runs with max CPU when I'm working on Microsoft excel, S0 standby is idiotic and worse mode ever you all should fix it cause no one wants a burning laptop, I'm disappointed I will consider switching to Lenovo and selling this failure of an excuse of a laptop.

I have used Elitebook exclusively for over 20 yrs and would not use anything else.
Over the years, I've had many issues, most can be resolved by a BIOS update and wiping the hard drive.
If you don't want to wipe the drive, I recommend popping in a spare SSD, booting from a USB key and reinstalling a clean copy of the latest Windows 11. Then do your tests. This will prove if the problem is HW or SW related.
