Hello,
I need some urgent help, please.
Whenever I start my laptop, I get the following error message: "The SMART hard disk check has detected an imminent failure. To ensure not data loss, please backup the content immediately and run the Hard Disk Test in System Diagnostics."
I performed multiple tests with HP PC Hardware Diagnostics, but every test was successful. I also tried to run a hard drive check within BIOS, but strangely, there wasn't any option to select a test run. Additionally, I performed a check disk via Command Prompt, where apparently something was fixed, but this didn't help solve the problem either.
I've backed-up all my data on a hard drive to be on the safe side, but I really don't know what else to do. According to my system settings, the estimated remaining lifespan is 4%.
I've noticed that, since this error message has been showing up, the control panel shows that WindowsPackageManagerServer.exe, COM Surrogate and HP CASL Framework Service are not working anymore. I've absolutely not clue if that could be somehow related.
Can anybody help? Any advice is very much appreciated. Thank you.
