Followed directions on HP's website to run a hard disk test and then got the following error code: 0GF090-5LC942-MFH15G-60FPO3. HP'S website says contact HP if you get a 24 digit code upon running the hard disk test. But for my device, the forum was the only contact option that popped up as being available. Trying to figure out what my next step needs to be. (And if it matters, I have no idea if my OS is 32-bit or 64. It the Windows 7 Home Prem OA.) Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,
The 24 character error code is a Smart failure and would indicate that the Hard Drive is failing and needs to be replaced.
Your notebook is listed as coming with a 640Gb Hard Drive, but you can just as easily install a 750Gb HDD if you want a bit more space - the drive on the following link is an example that would be fine for your notebook.
The procedure to replace the Hard Drive starts on Page 70 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.
Once the drive is installed, you can use your Recovery Media to reinstall Windows 7 64bit on the new HDD - a full guide on this can be found on the following link.

If you don't have your Recovery Media, it can still be ordered from the 3rd party retailer on the link below.
