For hdd, what are the differences and features between SSD and SATA.

Not really sure what you are asking about. SSDs are just a non-mechanical storage medium...don't use a motor or spinning plates like a hard drive. But SSDs and hard drives can be connected with a SATA (Serial ATA) bus/connection. If you are asking for the differences between a mechanical SATA hard drive and a SATA solid state disk the main difference is speed. A mechanical disk might top out at say 125 mbps, while a good SATA SSD will read and write data at least 3 and maybe 4 times faster. An SSD provides faster bootup and general Windows performance and they run cooler and are more tolerant of shocks.
The only downside is the cost. A 500 gig 7200 rpm mechanical 2.5 inch SATA hard drive is maybe $60...SSD of the same capacity is going to cost between $130 and $160.
A SATA SSD is a plug in replacement for a SATA hard drive. The external dimensions and connectors are the same so you just replace a mechanical drive with a SATA SSD. Hope this makes some sense and answers your question.
