Hi all ,

I had recently purchased a

HP Notebook - 15-bs028ne

As i got the bios update file from official hp site ,and followed the instruction's given to update my bios .

The bios update was taking tooo long (more than 2 hr's) ,i had to remove power and battery .

After that i cant turn my laptop on .The screen is blank (some random flickring is their) ,the power led is solid white .

After trying to boot up ,at almost 5 mins late the caps will start to blink 2 Quick White Blink followed by 2 Slow White Blink & it repeat's .

I tried to boot to bios recovery using Arrow Key's & Win+B/V ,but it does not show up anything except the black screen !

Its a brand new laptop .

Spec's :- i7 7TH Gen

8 GB RAM

1 TB Hard Disk

OS : Win 10 & Ubuntu 17.04 (DUAL BOOT)

Please help me in finding a solution to my problem !

Sometimes when you do everything right, it still goes sideways..

“Press and Pray Method”

Sample System:

HP ENVY Phoenix 860-180st CTO Desktop PC

Windows 10 (version 1607)

  1. Unplug everything, including power and all other externally connected components
  2. Press and hold down the power button for forty (40) seconds
  3. Release the power button
  4. Plug in only basic components

     Examples:

Desktop:  Power, wired mouse and keyboard, HDMI to monitor (monitor is powered on)

     Notebook:  Connect AC Power

  1. Switch on the system with power button - Click power and release (as for normal boot)

Disclaimer:

By no means is this method guaranteed -- "Press and Pray" has worked for me on two systems and for at least one or two forum members.

Thanks for the news!

I am sorry you had to travel 'cross country lines to have the system repaired.  From the little I know about the subject, this sounds "right" (as expected when the computer has been removed from the region in which it is supported).  The subject is covered in the Warranty document.

Regardless, I am glad your computer is working!
