Since upgrading to Windows 11 the built in screen to my laptop flickers and goes black when moving the mouse around. I've seen on another post, uninstalling windows update KB5022497 resolves the issue, however it appears I am unable to uninstall this update via Update History > Uninstall Updates in setting as the update doesn't appear in the list of available updates to be uninstalled. Any ideas how to resolve the screen flicker issue?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the fix proposed wouldn't work as the fix pertained to a UEFI BIOS, which on opening the BIOS the Main tab didn't look like the one in the proposed solution, so I don't believe it was a UEFI BIOS. Screen is still flickering.

Hi @Funky_M,
This could be a hardware issue with the unit and may need repair.
I suggest that you contact HP Service Center in your location from this weblink: https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/service-center
Note: Select your country from the dropdown, enter the city or postal code, select the product and click on search to locate the nearest HP Service Center near your location.
Hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I don't think it is a hardware issue. I have downloaded driver updates direct from Intel which have fixed the problem, albeit only short term. The issue as per my first post has only come about from downloading Windows 11 and there is something within it that is causing an issue, which a previous post on this suggested was caused by update KB5022497 and by uninstalling this, the issue would be resolved. Unfortunately I am unable to uninstall this update via Settings > Uninstall Updates, and have been looking for assistance on how to do so.

My HP Victus 15 also have Flickering issues in web browsers like chrome, brave, and also in Vlc Media player whenever i move the mouse, it flickers. first i thought it is hardware issue, but my friend have also a victus 15 with same specs Ryzen 5, Nvidia 1650, his laptop also flickers. so its clear its a software issue

Hi, I think it most definitely is a software issue within Windows 11 as it started not long after upgrading to it. Other posts on the matter have suggested it is caused by a security update (see thread for reference), which if removed and blocked form re-installing may resolve the issue. However, unable to uninstall the update from the utility in Settings, so am looking to do it by other means.
