Hi,
I bought a HP laptop 15s-eq2043nb and it functioned for exactly 2 weeks. I have multiple issues which seem to create a vicious circle. I have tried about any solution proposed on the internet for each of the issues, but no luck.
Problem 1
After a windows update my screen turned black. In the beginning I could still link my laptop to a tv screen. I tried updating the display driver, but I got the message that I had the most recent version. For no particular reason, after a new attempt to connect to a secondary screen (I tried multiple with different cables) it all of the sudden didn't work anymore. By accident I discovered that the screen was actually not totally black. When the sunlight falls into the screen from a certain angle, I can still see a faint version of the screen. I checked all display settings, but nothing seems to be wrong.
Problem 2
I have no internet connection and I have no wif-fi option anymore in the networking settings. I don't succeed in re-storing this via Troubleshooter.
Problem 3
I tried doing a complete re-set, including removal of my files, but I get a message that this is not possible in S Mode. Which is a strange in itself, because I deactivated S Mode during the installation of McAfee ... When I look in System Activation there is no mention of S Mode at all.
I uninstalled McAfee, but that didn't change anything.
In Windows Update I see that there is an update which is paused, but I cannot unpause it. I get an "unknown error" message.
I hope that someone can help, because HP service centers are scarce in my region and I'm getting desperate 😞
Thanks!
