Hp stream laptop 14-cb1xx

Purchased used hp stream laptop 14-cb1xx.
it has an Intel(r) celeron(r) n4000 cpu @ 1.10GHz
with factory installed win10

couldn’t erase to factory setting due to low memory. Started setup utility and did secure erase.

computer restarted to the (3f0) error screen:

boot device not found

please install an operating system on your hard disk.

tests show memory and storage tests.
memory test passes and both quick and extensive storage tests pass.

tried enabling legacy support to no avail. Returned to secure boot with no luck.

I powered down and restarted plugged in and in plugged held power button all that and nothing has worked.

what are my options and where do I go from here? There is no warranty.

@Brezak

Since you did a "secure erase", your SSD is now wiped clean -- hence the error message about no boot.

I didn't see it in your post, but have your tried booting from Win10 USB stick to install Windows?

I don’t have a windows usb. Could I buy one and do that? Would it be as a new computer with no residual data on drive? Or download on other computer send to usb and download that way?

@WAWood

also if I’m to reinstall Windows, I would be choosing Windows 10 (original windows) but how do I know what windows 10 to get? 32-64 etc?

Not to hijack post but I have the same issue except win 7 and I do have win key but no software. Following post.
