Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

Windows Boot Configuration Data (BCD) is missing or corrupt. It will need to be replaced and repaired.

 

OPTION 1) This is will require that you have a Windows installation disk (media) , boot from it , load Repair options, start Command Prompt and execute several commands.

 

OPTION 2) Directly proceed with Windows 7 reinstallation

  • You may read the attached PDF file below with instructions how to do it
  • Note that your data may be lost during the procedure but may also be backed up before
  • Note that Windows 7 is no longer being supported by Microsoft and Windows 7 might be at a higher risk of being successfully attacked due to lack of support, updates, etc
