Hello,

My laptop's shutdown dialog box is usually set to show shutdown as default.

But after one of these two updates i think,

It changed the default to switch user.

I know that this is a very small thing but I got used to pressing Alt+F4, enter, then just closing my laptop so it never turns off.

Is there a way to change the default back to shut down?

I have already tried editing the registry's Start_PowerButtonAction key but no avail.

Please help me
Thank you

P.S. I used system restore which reset the dialog box back to shut down and I also found that during that time period, Those two updates were installed.

Hello Mj_Son,

Did you set the Value to "2" ? A reboot may required for it to work.

Could you test this again and let us know if it works?

It changed back to switch user and when i checked the registry, it was set correctly as well

I also rebooted it many times.
