Dear HP Support, I Installed Windows 10 on my HP Netbook. The Netbooks specifications are:
HP Netbook, Intel Atom CPU N455 1.66 Ghz, 2.0 GB Ram, ReadyBoost Cache 1.8 GB, 32 bits, Windows 7 Starter, Primary Hard drive 214 GB, Secondary Hard drive N/A
The problem I have is slow optical mouse pointer speed. I have reset the speed at maximum, but the mouse pointer lags. I tried using the touch pad but same problem. The problem might be the mouse driver but I don't know where to get an update. What is the solution?

My reply may not make you happy but with a machine likes that it will slow down everything. How much spare room on its HDD ?
What is it ? Please use the following way to find out the model/product of your machine
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00033108
For security reason, please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n) on Internet.
Regards.

Dear Banhien, thanks for your reply. The Netbook Model no is HP G60-23OUS . The hard drive is only about 30% used, maybe 60 GB.
I keep all my data files on flash drives so I can move from computer to computer.
I use this little machine as follows: 1 notepad 2. OpenOffice spreadsheets, 3. Windows Media Player. 4. Search
I hate to go back to Windows 7 but it was faster in W 7. I had no problems with mouse, or hibernate using Win 7.

Your second questino: What is it ? Here's all the info:

That is an ancient machine. F from my memory it could be around 12-13 years old by now. My daughter did have a similar machine to work in Tokyo around 2008. She kept saying it tooooooooooooo slow, I gave her my Dell XPS 13 at that time.
Anyway, you say its mouse is slow. Well, what do you expect for a machine like that to run Windows 10 ? I would change its mechanical HDD to SSD, this may help a bit.
Regards.

Banheim 100122 Netbook, Mouse
Dear Mr. Banheim, thank you for your reply.
I use the netbook only for 3 simple applications:
1. Windows Media Player
2. Notepad
3. Open Office Spreadsheet
I like the Netbook because of the small footprint on my desk.
I upgraded it from Win 7 to Win 10 to enhance it, but also as an experiment to see what problems I would have, as I have an HP G690-23OUS Notebook, a much more robust machine, that I plan to upgrade from Win 7 to 10 in the future. But that is a different subject.
I have some expertise in computers, but not heavy.
Mr. Banheim, you seem to have a lot of expertise in HP computers. Can you explain to me in layman's terms why my mouse would slow down considerable when I changed my netbook from Win 7 to Win 10? It worked perfectly before.
