Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your PC!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Start by resetting the CMOS (if you are comfortable). Power off your PC, disconnect it from the power supply, and open the side panel. Locate the CMOS battery on the motherboard, remove it, and hold down the power button for approximately 30 seconds to discharge any residual energy. Reinsert the battery, reconnect power, and power on your computer to see if the issue is resolved.

If you can access the BIOS, try restoring the default settings. Upon starting your PC, press F10 (or Esc, followed by selecting BIOS setup). Look for an option to load default settings or reset the BIOS to its factory defaults. Additionally, verify the boot order, ensuring that the primary drive is listed first. Save and exit to apply the changes.

Should your system fail to load Windows, attempting Safe Mode might help. To initiate this, power on your PC and forcibly shut it down (holding the power button) three times. On the fourth boot, it should enter Windows Recovery Mode, where you can access advanced options, choose Startup Settings, and select Safe Mode. If you successfully boot into Safe Mode, update any necessary drivers and restart.

For persistent issues, repairing Windows startup may provide a solution. From Windows Recovery Mode, select Advanced Options and then Startup Repair to let Windows automatically attempt to resolve the problem.

Finally, hardware diagnostics can identify potential faults. Press F2 during startup to access HP Hardware Diagnostics, and run a test on your storage drives. If the test reveals a failing HDD or SSD, replacement may be required to restore functionality.

By following these steps, you can systematically address the error and potentially restore your system to working condition. Let me know if you need further assistance.
