I am having hp pavilion Dv6t-6000 quad edition notebook which came with windows 7 home premium. I upgraded to windows 10 few months ago but was having regular issues as windows 10 is not supported on this notebook. Today I went back to windows 7 with bootable usb. Windows 7 is installed but no drives are getting detected. I downloaded wireless driver from another computer and installed and finally was able to get WiFi working. But another drivers are not getting searched through windows update and also when trying to install graphics , lan and other drives from hp website, it detected my laptop perfectly fine and downloaded all drivers exe but while installation every exe is getting incompatible Issues. Only I was able to install touchpad driver.
Also I thought of installing hp recovery software, which was also downloaded from hp. But it is giving that softpaq error message while installation.
“softpaq doens't apply to the system, no Recovery Manager is installed“
please help

Hi:
The recovery manager software you are trying to install is an update, not the full software package.
This package provides an update to the HP Recovery Manager application for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.
Since you clean installed W7, there is no recovery manager program to update.
Unfortunately, i don't know why the other sp's aren't installing.
You can manually install the drivers for most of the devices by clicking on the device that needs drivers.
For example: The ethernet controller... The driver you need for that is this one...
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55105.exe
When you ran the file, it unpacked to C:\SWSetup\sp55105.
To manually install the driver, to to the device manager, click on the ethernet controller needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab, click on Update driver.
Select the 'Browse my computer for driver software' option and browse to C:\SWSetup\sp55105.
Make sure the include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
If your notebook has the Intel/AMD switchable graphics adapters, then you need this driver...
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55092.exe
USB3:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55102.exe
SD card reader:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55104.exe
Protectsmart:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp61001-61500/sp61037.exe
Fingerprint:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55109.exe
All of these should be able to be manually installed by browsing from the device in the device manager, to C:\SWSetup\sp#####
