ZBook 15 G2
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I demolished Win 7 Pro OA and installed Linux on my ZBook 15.  I didn't realize the "original" operating system was in the Notebook Upgrade Bay.  Only some Linux systems (Mint) will find any operating systems I install.  Ubuntu will not boot.  SO...

I want to go back to Windows 7 or forward to Windows 10.

As far as I know, there is nothing to recover, as linux totally re-formatted the drive.  I found the Win 7 product code under the battery, so I am legal for Win 7.  And I think I will therefore be able to upgrade to Win 10.  Obviously, I do not have a Win 7 install disk, but I have a DVD drive and USB on an old Win XP system, so I hope to download and burn a bootable system.

I found an old answer in these forums, but the old software and links are well out of date,

Can anyone please point me at information that will still work, or to installing Win 10 from scratch with a win7 licence, please?

Many thanks in advance!
