Hi @Appuz,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with your HP keyboard. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and possibly fix the problem.

Basic Troubleshooting

Restart Your Computer:

  • Sometimes a simple restart can resolve hardware issues.

Check Physical Connections:

  • Ensure the keyboard is properly connected to the computer.
  • If it's a wireless keyboard, check the batteries and make sure it's properly paired with the computer.

Clean the Keyboard:

  • Use compressed air to blow out any dust or debris that might be stuck under the keys.

Try Another USB Port:

  • If you're using a USB keyboard, try plugging it into a different USB port.

Software Troubleshooting

Update or Reinstall Keyboard Driver:

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Expand the Keyboards section.
  • Right-click on your keyboard and select Update driver or Uninstall device.
  • If you uninstall, restart your computer and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Check for updates and install any available ones.

Use the On-Screen Keyboard:

  • Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard.
  • Turn on the On-Screen Keyboard. This can serve as a temporary solution.

Hardware Troubleshooting

Test the Keyboard on Another Computer:

  • Connect your keyboard to another computer to see if the problem persists. This will help determine if the issue is with the keyboard itself or your computer.

External Keyboard:

  • If you have an external USB or Bluetooth keyboard, connect it to your laptop to use temporarily.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
