HP Spectre X360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

One of our users has an HP Spectre X360 - 13 with a charging issue. A recent Windows or HP driver update seems to have broken his USB-C charging capability. While trying to diagnose the issue with him, the battery reserve dipped down to 10-15%. I had him shut down the laptop to conserve what precious capacity he had left. Doing a bit of research, I came up with this link:

I had him restart, but basically the battery died before the OS came up. So I'm in a bit of a pickle here.....a dead laptop with seemingly no way to recharge it. I'm wondering if leaving the charger connected to USB-C while powered off will work (since it is not aware of any OS/driver issues then).
