Product: HP Pavilion G series

I did a start up Test and the memory test passed as well as the Smart Check Passed. The short DST failed and I got this failure ID number GUX9B9-5SAA64-MFPV5F-60T803. How can I determine what the issue is?

Hi:

 

The error code reported, Hard Disk 1 Quick Test Failure, means that you need to install a new hard drive, and reinstall the operating system.

 

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.
