Hello I have a hp laptop here that won't open it keeps saying boot device not found

Hey Mel 2004,

Boot device not found usually means the system can’t see Windows or the drive it’s installed on.

Restart the laptop and tap F10 to enter BIOS, then check if the hard drive or SSD is detected. If it is, restart and tap F11 to try HP System Recovery and repair or restore Windows.

If the drive does not appear in BIOS, it’s likely a failed or loose hard drive/SSD and will need to be checked or replaced.

I'm glad I could help!  If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster. I.am a volunteer, offering my knowledge to support fellow users.

Did you recently dropped your laptop or throw something on it? How this happens? Did some updates before this?
