Hi @Lawkeeper , Welcome to HP Support Community!

That's a tough loss.

You know by now that what you can do is limited to what you can control.

Contact your local authorities to report the theft.

In the event of a loss of this type, the main issue is one of personal safety.

If you are safe, you are OK.

Change your passwords to protect your accounts.

HP does not track devices and cannot help with the recovery of lost or stolen property.

If you are located where it will do any good, report the loss to the local authorities - this might be the local police or other agency that can perhaps help with property retrieval.

You may be able to track it by signing into the Microsoft account linked to the laptop to use the Find My Device service. If Find My Device was enabled, you can view the last known location on a map.

Track your laptop
  • Go to account.microsoft.com/devices and sign in with the Microsoft account you used on the laptop.
  • Select the "Find my device" tab and choose your laptop from the list to see its last known location on a map.
  • If the laptop comes online in the future, the location may update. You may also have options to lock or erase your device remotely.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
