Hi,

I have an issue regarding sudden upsurge in storage on my HP laptop. There is 237 GB available. I have been moving some files onto a separate external hard drive so yesterday morning the available space was around 90 GB. Later in the day when looking I noticed that for no reason the storage had risen to 184 GB. It says the installed apps storage is 132 GB which it isn't. The rest of the storage is, music 9.54 GB which is correct, other 3.96 GB which is correct and temporary files 495 MB.

This now means that I did have a healthy storage availability of 137/147 GB which has now suddenly shrunk to 53 GB.

I have 90 apps and I have added up apps storage which takes up 6.6 GB plus 4227 MB plus 3881 KB. There are also 16 apps which do not show how big they are (YouTube, VLC media player, Docs, **bleep** etc) but as I said there was not a problem with these apps until yesterday.

I am quite bamboozled by this and not 100% tech savvy so I would really appreciate any help and advice with this.

Thanks in advance,

John
