First of all I'd like to apologise if I am posting this topic in the wrong section, as I'm not entirely sure where it'd fall under.
So I've been using my HP Omen laptop for a good ~6 months now, and in the past few of them I have noticed a strange and mysterious "Update" task in my task manager that is set to be enabled on start-up.
I haven't been facing any kinds of noticeable issues with my laptop since I noticed this, so I'm not sure if it's a virus or just some program that, for whatever reason, is really poorly labelled? I know this is likely a very hard question to answer, as I can't really provide any more information than this, but does anyone know what this start-up task could possibly be for? I am somewhat sceptical to disable it as it's been enabled for months already, and I don't want to risk it potentially being something important for my system.
One final important thing to note is that, when right-clicked, the only options I get are 'Disable' and 'Search online', so there's no Properties option or way of being redirected to the file location from the task manager to find out more information.
Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
