@niemandas,

It looks like you were interacting with @Flower_Bud, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out,
I'm the Jeet_Singh & I'm at your service.

As I see that the laptop makes strange noise when connecting the AC adapter. Don't worry as I have a few other suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.

For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this.

  • Did this happen after a power outage?
  • Does the charger overheat?
  • Does the notebook freeze when this noise occurs?

Please try with a different power cord and adapter if possible by stepping into Best Buy or staples to isolate the issue to the power cord and not the computer.

If the noise does not occur with another adapter, then the charger in question needs to be replaced.

If it continues to happen even with a different adapter, then the notebook needs to be serviced.

@niemandas

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

Flower_Bud is at your service.

As I understand, you could hear a strange noise from your laptop when the charger is connected,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

When was the last time it worked?

Were there any hardware/software changes made?

Do you get any error message?

Do you have an original charger?

Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:

Update the BIOS following steps mentioned below "Update the BIOS when Windows does not start"

If you have another compatible charger, I would suggest you try that and keep me posted 🙂

Cheers 🙂

wasnt any hardware or software changes made.
no error messsages,
yes it is original charger,

Everything is working fine, but has these strange noises. And if laptop is on battery CPU temp is ~40ºC. And once i plug in charger, as i said computer starting to make strange noises, and in minute or two CPU temp is ~93-95ºC. On battery i can play games, if charger plugged in "ingame bluescreen".
