After trying to hold the power button for 30 secs, my device is not powering on. There's just a light from caps lock and battery indicator. Whenever I try to turn it off, it will just immediately back to its issue (caps lock and battery indicator will lit again). I can't turn off my laptop and even turn in on. Even if the battery is removed and the charger is plugged, it's still the same.

Hi @MJ777711,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing a persistent and frustrating issue with the DVD burner on your HP Pavilion TP01-3007na desktop PC. Here are some steps and suggestions that might help resolve the problem:
Troubleshooting Steps
Update Firmware and Drivers:
- Ensure that your DVD drive's firmware is up to date. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP support website.
- Also, make sure your system drivers, especially those related to the motherboard and the DVD drive, are up to date.
Check for Software Conflicts:
- Sometimes, burning software can conflict with each other. Make sure you are using only one DVD burning software.
- Try different burning software (e.g., Nero, ImgBurn, or CDBurnerXP) to see if the issue persists.
Test with Different Media:
- Different brands and types of DVDs can yield different results. Try using high-quality blank DVDs from reputable brands.
- Check the compatibility of the DVD media with your burner.
Check for Overheating:
- DVD burners can sometimes overheat, especially during long burning sessions. Ensure that your desktop is in a well-ventilated area and that the internal fans are working properly.
- Consider using a cooling pad or additional cooling solutions if overheating is suspected.
Perform Hardware Diagnostics:
- Use HP's built-in hardware diagnostic tools to check if there are any hardware issues with the DVD drive.
- You can access the diagnostics from the BIOS or download the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool from the HP support website.
Reinstall or Replace the Drive:
- If the drive itself is faulty, reinstalling it might help. Open your PC case and re-seat the DVD drive, ensuring all connections are secure.
- As a last resort, consider replacing the DVD burner with a new one. They are relatively inexpensive and might solve your problem if the current drive is defective.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
