Hello. I was playing around with my computer and I just happened to notice in System Configuration that the option for Selective Startup was selected. There is also an option for Normal Startup. I would think it's supposed to be in normal startup, but I don't ever remember changing it, so maybe it's been in Selective Startup since I got it??

Anyways, is it supposed to be in Selective Startup? I tried changing it to Normal, but it won't let my Apply the change and keeps going back to Selective.

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

I have mine in Selective Startup all the time -- as there are apps I don't want loaded during startup since they seriously delay the time taken to reach a working desktop.

It's not a big deal unless you really want ALL the startup items started on every boot, and even then, you can select all of them and achieve much the same thing.
