I'm using an HP pavilion 15-cs2xxxx series.
My issue is this I'm STUCK on HP LOGO. I can't enter my recovery environment whether I use a bootable USB drive or use F11.
My SSD is an NVMe and it's passed the extensive diagnosis check
As well as my memory test.
My laptop has an HDD slot as well and ove tried plugin in the HDD from my other working computer but it's only recognized when the SSD is also connected. However, when both are present and I use F9 to select which drive to boot from again I'm STUCK on the LOGO, ,only that this time it's the windows.
When I loaded a clean USB drive with the BIOS update and hit Windows Key + B it simply doesn't detect the USB drive.
I need help, I'm out of options here.

@Lee381, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating boot issue, and you're definitely taking the right steps in troubleshooting.
Check Boot Order in BIOS/UEFI:
It's important that the boot order is set correctly. Since you're stuck at the HP logo, let's ensure that the USB drive is the first boot option.
To Access BIOS: Restart the laptop and press Esc or F10 right after you turn it on to enter the BIOS menu.
Once inside, look for the Boot Order settings and make sure the USB is listed first, followed by your SSD/HDD. If you don’t see the USB drive listed, it might not be detected correctly.
Try Using Different USB Ports:
Sometimes, the laptop may not recognize a bootable USB on a particular port. Try plugging it into a different USB port.
Create the USB Boot Drive Correctly:
It’s important to ensure that the USB is properly prepared to boot. If you’re trying to use the recovery tool or BIOS update:
If you’re trying to load Windows recovery, use the Windows Media Creation Tool to create a bootable USB.
For BIOS updates, you may refer to this guide: HP Notebook PCs - Recovering the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) | HP® Support
Attempt Recovery Without the Second Drive:
Disconnect the HDD completely and try booting with just the NVMe SSD and the USB recovery drive. The fact that the system only detects the HDD when the SSD is connected suggests there might be a conflict or issue with the way the storage devices are interacting during boot.
Reset BIOS to Default Settings:
If you suspect there's a conflict with the BIOS settings, you could reset the BIOS to default settings. In the BIOS menu, look for an option to Restore Defaults.
Check for Fast Boot/UEFI Settings:
Fast Boot: Sometimes, if fast boot is enabled, it can interfere with USB boot detection. In BIOS, look for the Fast Boot option and disable it.
Secure Boot: Ensure Secure Boot is disabled. This could prevent external devices from booting unless specifically allowed.
Check the USB Drive on Another Computer:
Just to make sure the USB drive itself is functioning properly, plug it into a different computer to verify it’s bootable.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
