Hi, as i said in the subject, been tweaking my laptop to run faster, suddenly after a restart it loads into a 'your device ran into a problem and needs to restart. You can restart. I have searched help forums, tried to restart it multiple times no no avail. May be worth mentioning my laptop also has fan error, 90b, where one of the fans has stopped working, but the laptop itself is not overheating currently. Any fixes will need it soon?

Hi @JC1375913579,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like a frustrating situation! Here are some steps you can try to resolve the INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE BSOD.
Check Boot Order:
- Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing F10 or Esc during startup).
- Ensure your primary drive (SSD/HDD) is set as the first boot device.
Startup Repair:
- Boot from a Windows installation media (USB or DVD).
- Select "Repair your computer" > "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > "Startup Repair."
Safe Mode:
- From the Windows recovery environment (boot from installation media), go to "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > "Startup Settings" and select "Restart."
- Once restarted, choose Safe Mode (with or without networking) and see if you can access your system.
System Restore:
- If you have a restore point created, boot from installation media, select "Repair your computer" > "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > "System Restore," and follow the prompts.
Check Disk:
- While in Safe Mode or using recovery media, open Command Prompt and run:
chkdsk C: /f /r
- This checks for and repairs disk errors.
Update Drivers:
- If you can access Safe Mode, consider updating your storage drivers. Go to Device Manager, find your storage devices, and check for updates.
Check Hardware:
- Since you mentioned a fan error (90b), consider addressing that first. If a fan isn't working, it might cause thermal issues later. Check for dust buildup, reseat the fan, or consider replacing it.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
