Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a 14-cf0051od laptop. It suddenly stopped responding to mouse clicks. I tried to reboot, but couldn't select anything because of the mouse click problem. It eventually ended up on a login page, asking for my password. I have no password because I set it up for none. It said I should use my MS password, so I tried the one for my hotmail. It didn't work. It still doesn't respond to mouse clicks. I wanted to disconnect the battery to shut it down, but that's not easily done on this laptop. How do I get it working again?

Hi,

Try performing a power reset and see if it helps. Here is how it is done. (you can turn off the PC by holding the power button for about 10 seconds)

You could also try an external mouse or if using external mouse, try the touchpad.

Glad you are up and running again. You could try performing some HP diagnostics on the PC at boot or from Windows.

It is a nice PC you have and quite upgradable. Max RAM is 32GB of DDR4 2400MHz and the M2 SSD can be upgraded to a much higher capacity SSD and with a super fast M2 PCIe NVMe SSD such as the Samsung 970 Evo Plus.
