Hi:
You will need to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system.
Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the hard drive removal and replacement procedure.

You may want to consider replacing the 500 GB mechanical hard drive with a better performing 2.5" 500 GB solid state drive (SSD).
While you have the notebook apart, you may want to upgrade the memory by replacing the 4 GB memory chip with an 8 GB memory chip.
This would be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook:

After you replace the drive, use the HP cloud recovery tool with another PC running W7 64 bit or newer and a 32 GB USB flash drive to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook.
Here is an info link for how to use the utility.

Since you have to install the recovery tool on another PC, after you launch it, you will need to enter your notebook's product number in the tool's search window to proceed.
Your notebook's product number is: 3TT17UA#ABA
